A very happy birthday to ragnorokt, my brother, who recently joined us here on LJ.

The Good, the Bad and the Missing

First the good. I called my brother, ragnorokt, and we have a nice long conversation. He's finally coming to visit us here in the great Northwest. He was telling me about the pitfalls of being single on your birthday. I felt so bad for him I didn't even rib him much about turning 37. *grin*

The bad. I really hate PCMCIA wireless cards. The damn things have fussy install programs and there isn't any way I've found to reliably detect which one is installed at any moment. I wouldn't care except that to get things like signal strength and connection status is different for each card. BASTARDS!

The missing? hollyqueen had an email meltdown and lost her list of who wanted to attend my birthday dinner. It's on Saturday November 4th at 5:45pm for an early dinner followed by something random afterwards. Maybe a movie. Maybe drinking. Even if you aren't up for late activities you should come and have dinner.
