We are still looking for an apartment. The first one we both liked fell through. Yesterday we went to look at three places. We actually looked at two because we were stood up twice and the one we did see had another place available that was a better match. We filled out the paperwork for it but later on [livejournal.com profile] hollyqueen realized that there were features she needed that were missing. I didn’t like it enough to fight to stay so we called them back and had them trash our application.

Today went to look at a place and while the person we were meeting showed up they had changed the locks and hadn’t given him a new key so we didn’t get to check it out. We like the neighborhood and the description sounds nice. Tomorrow we’ll go back and actually look at it and if it fits the bill we’ll try and get it.

I also setup an appointment to look at another place in downtown Bellevue. It’s super close to work (walking distance for [livejournal.com profile] hollyqueen and a short bike ride for me) and has a few other nice features. Still on the Eastside though.

I don’t handle uncertainty like this well. I like knowing where my towel is and where my bed is waiting for me. Little things like not sending out postcards because I don’t have a return address add up after a while. Why do so many damn places fail to return calls or don’t tell you the truth about the place they’re renting? Why waste our time and theirs?
