Flooding in the Green River Valley

At the Seattle ACS meeting last night we talked a bit about the potential for flooding in the Green River valley. I have several friends who live in the area that would be affected by this. Please, take some time and prepare yourselves. You are all too important to me.

I am here if you need any help or information about how to prepare.

In 1993 I lived on a hill a few miles from the Missouri river. At the height of the flooding that year I had to abandon my home because while we were dry on the hill the water, sewage and power stations were all under water and we had no services for a few months. Just sayin... ;)

There's a big difference between the Green river and the Missouri river. I have friends houses I can stay at if it comes to that. I used to live next to a creek when I lived in Issaquah and have dealt with flooding before...

Besides, the bigger issue for me will be if the condo I'm living in slides off the hill with a big old mudslide onto Interurban. They *still* haven't opened up the part of the parking lot where my space is from the last mudslide...
