Horns a Plenty
Dec. 9th, 2002 09:14 pmWell, I just got back from my trumpet lesson at Beaverton Music and it was another good session. My teacher says I'm progressing at a faster pace than he expected. What do you get for practicing and playing well? A crap-load of stuff to work on for next week. Not only do I have new tunes to practice on, but he's increased the speed and range I need to cover for next week. There's also one tune I have to play by memory. God, I love this stuff!
One problem I'm having is that the first valve on my horn is sticking. I hope it doesn't cost too much to fix. I'm saving for a new horn, but I won't be able to buy it for some time. The good thing about this was my instructor let me borrow a nice Jupiter trumpet to play during my lesson.
Finally, I wonder how creektoad's meeting went today.
