Jun. 19th, 2003 03:13 pmI was in my office reading the Summer 2003 issue of The Empty Vessel. The article I was reading is an interview with Ursula K. LeGuin about her translation of the Tao De Jing. One quote caught my eye, and I thought I would share it with all of you.
Number 53, Insight: People wearing ornaments and fancy clothes, carrying weapons, drinking a lot and eating a lot, having a lot of things, a lot of money: shameless thieves. So much for capitalism.
Pretty direct statement for Lao Tzu.
