Weekend Update

hollyqueen is making her way back to Portland after coming up for a visit. It was very nice to see her and get some quality snuggling. Now to make it until Friday when I'll head south to spend the weekend with her.

Saturday was spent driving to get the lay of the land. For lunch we found this great place in Issaquah called Stan's BBQ. Hot damn, Kansas City BBQ and it's not 1,800 miles away. I'm certainly going to be going back. After lunch we drove around Bellevue then Lake Washington.

Saturday night we went and saw The DaVinci Code (2006). I think it was better than the book because they removed a lot of unnecessary stuff but kept the story intact. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you want a good conspiracy story that involves ancient artifacts read Map of Bones by James Rollins. James is a much better author and who can't love an armed branch of DARPA?

Sunday was filled with congratulating loree with surviving another orbit around the sun. I had a good time and am really pleased with the amount of socializing and conversation I was able to accomplish. I even met some new folks. (Hi drakemonger and sebab.) I do have to say it was a little odd being outed as the only non-poly in the house...

So what's up for this week? After looking at my accounts and realizing that it might be 3 more weeks until I get paid again nothing expensive that's for sure. I'll probably spend the time looking for inexpensive activities or catching up on projects that have been on hold.
