Weekend Update

I can't say how happy I'll be when hollyqueen and I are living in the same city again. Our new bedroom furninture was delivered at 1pm on Friday and by 2pm I was on the road to Portland. Thanks to all the beer swillin', truck drivin', GI Joes shoppin' rednecked trailer trash on the road I averaged 20 MPH until I was well south of Olympia. Once I got through all that mess I was able to keep up a good speed all the way home.

It was worth all the hassle because hollyqueen, cheesentoast and qt3_14159 spoiled me a bit with dinner and going to see Superman Returns (2006). Brandon was the Man. Kevin was Lex. Parker Posey? Scott Kurtz sums up my feelings in PVP Online.

Saturday started out great as I was woken up with snuggles. It's good to be the Sultan. Then we visited the Beaverton Farmer's Market for cookies, sausages, soup, cherries and all kinds of goodies. Back home for some WoW crack and going through stuff that we didn't want to move. I filled the trunk of the car and most of the back seat with books and other stuff to give to Goodwill. What I need is a magic wand that will make furniture dissappear too. There's a lot of stuff that we're not going to move to Seattle that needs to vanish.

The one thing I wanted that I couldn't find was a cablemodem/router. I have three of the damned things but the only one I could find is the one that's providing access for hollyqueen and cheesentoast. I found the boxes for the other two but they were empty. Grrr... They're hooking up the cable and internet tomorrow morning and it's too wasteful to buy a cablemodem that will be used for one week. I guess I'll be spending my evenings in the library this week. Bah.
