Thirst Quenching

For my birthday I'm going to something I've wanted to do for a long time and try to brew my own beer, make some cider and a batch of root beer. To get an idea of how much of each I should make I am curious to know what my friends would be interested in trying. So I give you a poll.

Food, Movies and Food

Last night I went over to nerdvana to watch V for Vendetta (2005) with datavore and loree. Although before we watched the movie we went out for some dinner at Luna Park Cafe.

The movie was good and disturbing for the parallels I see between it and our current political environment.

After the movie loree and I were hungry again so we went to Betty's Cafe. (I think. I can't exactly remember and I can't find it on google.) That was some good food and the omelette was as big as my head, and I ordered the small one! I would hate to see the big one.

It might have been eating late, watching the movie or discussing When Worlds Collide (1951) with datavore but I had some weird dreams last night. I was watching the sun when it was rocked with explosions. Instead of being burned to a crisp with the rest of the planet I watched the sun shrink to less than half of its normal size. The reports on the radio said the changes to the sun were caused by an approaching star. The new star was caught in the gravity of our solar system and we ended up living in a binary star system. There was surprising little damage to the earth (or my eyes) from watching this whole scene. Weird.
