A Question

hollyqueen and I are thinking about moving to Seattle when our lease is up in a few months. There are many fine reasons to move to Seattle. There are a few reasons not to move. Right now the scales are heavily leaning towards moving. Any reason we shouldn't?

While the prospect of taking naked pictures of you is a temptation I can barely resist. (I'm surprised I'm not in the car headed south east right now.) I have to admit for a huge hatred of heat and humidity both of which are too abundant in the south.

We might have to arrange some photography trips though... Hmmm...

Mostly its the one-way streets that used to be cow paths 400 years ago, that go one way in the morning, and the other way in the afternoon..

Public transit not so good - well, the buses are pretty decent, but only if you're in-city

"Seattle Freeze" - socially, Seattle is organized into couples and poly clutches, with little socialization outside your relationship/clan

Honestly, I think you should go.

There are always reasons not to move, but if you have to ask for them, you're probably having a hard time finding legit ones.

In the end, there's probably a better job market with more options for the both of you.

I may even be able to put you in touch w/ a former co-worker of mine who lives in the area. I say "MAY".

But it sounds like you and Sharon both want this so make it happen.

Actually there are a lot more flight options from Seattle to KC than there are from Portland to KC. So moving a few miles farther north will make it possible to visit more often.

Plus, maybe it's my mission to bring real BBQ to the northwest. ;)
