Adoption Classes
Jan. 13th, 2005 09:28 amI spoke with our contact at the Washington County Department of Human Services (WCDHS) and she's going to send us an adoption information package. She said it contains the application, documentation and a list of class schedules. I hope this package will have more concrete information for us. We did talk about classes and the next set are already full so we will have to wait for the next set that start in April. That puts a damper on our planned trip to Missouri, but with moving and the adoption process I wasn't sure if we had the time or money to fly back to Missouri for a week. I'm going to still try to make the trip but the adoption is the priority.
When I picked up the mail yesterday there was a padded envelope for Baby Leber and the return address said Grandma Leber. I opened the envelope with a sense of dread about what sort of things my mother could be sending. It turns out to be a baby bib with the phrase, "I love my Grandma!" I know I told her we were looking to adopt older children. I hope she hasn't set herself up for some disappointment when the children arrive. Then again, knowing my mother she knows we're not looking for babies but she thinks it's a fun little joke.
