The festival season is getting started and since this is the first full summer I’ll be here in Seattle I was wondering what festivals you would recommend I check out. I’ve got Bumbershoot, Bite of Seattle, Northwest Folklife, Fremont Fair and the U. District Street Fair on my list. What am I missing?

Date: 2007-04-17 03:57 am (UTC)There is also the Puyallup Spring Fair (http://www.thefair.com/) this weekend, the King County State Fair (http://www.metrokc.gov/parks/fair/), and, small by comparison, but not bad, the Kent Cornucopia Days (http://www.kcdays.com/).
Don't know what that last one is going to be like, though. It used to be pretty much a medieval fair, until it went up against a much bigger event of that type in scheduling. It nearly vanished, was rebuilt into a more multi-cultural event, and now has been moved about a month earlier in the year. Many of the more medieval elements were moving back in last year. They had the SCA out in force, as well as a living chessboard, as of last year, so who knows what it will be now.
