It was 24 years ago today...

Ok, not really today. On November 24th 1983 I went to my very first concert. I saw The Police perform at Kemper Arena in Kansas City. Now 24 years later I’m going to see them again with hollyqueen. I’m very excited about it and I’m having a hard time focusing on work.

I don’t remember much about that first show. I do remember my Mom was pissed because it was Thanksgiving night and I left our family dinner to go to the show. I remember enjoying the show and having a good time with my friends. I remember that UB40 was the opening act.

I couldn’t tell you who I went with. Other than my family I don’t talk to anyone I knew back then. It would be three more years before I met hollyqueen. I didn’t meet anyone else in my life for several more years after that.
