So I've been salmoned. IM has become so useless I'm ready to chuck it all out the window and start over with new names that I only give out to a very few people.

I've been salmoned a few times, but it doesn't *always* happen when IM/Livejournal is updated.

I was responding to a post in a web forum for speculative writers when my husband came up behind me and asked what I was doing.

"Typing a message to someone I don't know and totally freaking you out," I responded

He shivered and quickly left.
