Yesterday I finished Foundation by Isaac Asimov. It was entertaining and I look forward to the other books in the series. My original plan was to only read the three books in the Foundation Trilogy. Reading more into the series I might have to break down and read them all.

Up next is the definitive steampunk anthology Extraordinary Engines edited by Nick Gevers. It seems a bit early to me to call anything a "definitive steampunk anthology," but we'll see how it goes.

I was given the first book of Foundation about 20 years ago, and have never gotten around to reading it.

It was an easy read, being originally published as a serial in magazines make it easy to read a section in between tasks.

You really should start with the I, Robot and then go through to Foundation and Earth, in reading order.

Wikipedia has a chart showing reading order as opposed to published order, for however reliable Wikipedia is...

I think in the end the Robot / Foundation books cover something like 40,000 years of history.
