I’ve been trying to write this post for a while and since things aren’t coming out the way I want you get a blipvert version.

Curses jw1776 for turning me on to Great Big Sea. Remember to check those expiration dates, kids. Thanks to a tip from poetry_lady for turning me on to Silver Platters. Guess what I’m going to do with my stack of “Silver Certificates” to tomorrow?

lycaenidae and aekajin2 came over to be tempted with food and drink. Baked my first pie which turned out really well. Watched Love Actually (2003) and an episode of Numb3rs while I was busy trying to be discreet and charming. I failed on the first and apparently succeeded on the second.

Spent some quality time with hollyqueen my favorite wife. We’ll have to do that again. shiver

Finished up a few weekend chores like shopping and washing some dishes. Went to see Casino Royale (2006) with intrepid_reason at the Big Picture in Seattle. Daniel Craig makes an excellent Bond and I’m glad the movie is closer to the books than the earlier movies.

Google Maps thinks you can turn left anywhere you like along Aurora Ave. Clearly they are insane.

Had a wonderful time with lycaenidae talking and doing my duty to Browncoats around the world by showing her the first disc of Firefly. Again the night ended too soon as I had to get up for an eye appointment this morning. Went to bed way to late and was to wound up sleep well. I used to be able to do this without batting an eye. Growing old sucks!

Eyes in excellent health and do not need new glasses. Have contacts for occasional use at parties with hot tubs so I won’t be blind. Back at work where I’m still developing a hatred for wireless cards and network providers. Sigh.
