[livejournal.com profile] hollyqueen has a salon appointment tomorrow evening and I've been wanting to give Pillager's Pub a shot. Anyone want to join me there at 7:30pm tomorrow for a pint? I want to give some Baron beers a try. In particular the Rauchbier.

Pub Trivia

Tonight was the Pub Trivia night at Celtic Bayou. [livejournal.com profile] hollyqueen and I were joined by [livejournal.com profile] kerrizor, [livejournal.com profile] qijm, the phantom anne, and [livejournal.com profile] aekajin2. I had a blast and I'm pretty sure eveyone else did too even if we didn't win one of the prizes.

If you missed tonight it's not too late. I'll be hosting one on the 4th Monday of every month. So the next one will be on February 26th at 7pm. If you weren't on the invite list for this week and you would like to be added comment here and I'll make sure you're added.

J.J. Who?

Tonight I took a different route home. Instead of using 520 to get to Redmond I went farther north on I405 and took Redmond Way to home. It took me 30 minutes instead of the usual 45-60 and was only a mile or two longer. Thanks for the suggestion [livejournal.com profile] hollyqueen!

[livejournal.com profile] dustin_00 took me out to Celtic Bayou tonight for dinner. Irish and Cajun food. Great food. Great beer. Better atmosphere. Forget J.J. Whatshisname this is the place for me.

Today my boss' boss announced her resignation. It seemed to come as a shock to everyone and was certainly a shock to me. She an my boss were a good portion of the reason why I chose to work there. I don't have any worry about my job going away but I can only wonder what the environment will be like in the future.

Tomorrow night I'm was going to go check out the Bellevue Farmer's Market. However [livejournal.com profile] jw1776 made me an offer I can't refuse. ;)

J.J. Mahoney's was pretty decent. Nice place to relax but they need to have a larger selection beer on tap and more Irish items on the menu. They do have WiFi so I can see myself going down there to knock back a few while working on projects.

I knew about the stupid anti-smoking law in Washington. I didn't realize how stupidly restrictive it was. I usually ignore bans that apply to most public places because I don't want to deal with second-hand smoke and the garbage that smokers throw on the ground. However, I firmly believe that there should be exceptions for places like smoke shops. Just as I need places without smoke the smokers should have places where they can smoke. Damn gummit controlling my life...

In Kansas there are counties that have outlawed nudity and alcohol in public places. So when you go to a strip club you have to become a member for $5 and your membership is good for a year. Not that I ever remembered to bring my card again. It was easier to join each time and consider the fee a cover charge. I wonder if a club with a membership would work because then it wouldn't be a public place. Probably not because the owners of smoke shops would have thought of ways to stay open after the law went into effect.

Tonight I think I'm just going to go home. I'm still not used to the house so I keep waking up during the night. I'll try to get to bed earlier and get a bit more sleep.

Tomorrow night is open but I would like to try and find something to do or someone to see. Anyone up for dinner or some drinks?
