I was already having an off morning and when I got into work a reminder popped up with this note from my Mom:
One side of my heart doesn't appear to have proper blood flow when I'm at rest but seems to be fine when I'm exercising. All other tests do not indicate what might be causing this so...
On December 27th they are going to perform a cardio cath and see what they can find. If they do nothing extra like place a stint or ballooning, I will go home that evening. Otherwise, I'll be staying over night.
I've been promised that someone will call me to let me know what happens but I'm still so far away.
Well I'm back in the office this morning. It's pleasantly quiet and dark. There were even spaces in the covered parking area when I arrived. Ahhh...
I had a fun filled holiday break. There was something fun to do every day, but it wasn't so packed with events that I flailed about with stress. Saturday I went to jw1776's birthday movie party. We saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007), which was better than I expected. After the movie we went over to Three Lions for lunch. Then
hollyqueen and I went grocery shopping.
Sunday was a nice lazy morning. I made Sweet & Spicy Brownies as my contribution to the nerdvana dinner. A very wonderful dinner by the way. My first taste of Turducken and I liked it. The company and socializing at dinner was great too.
hollyqueen had to work on Monday so I planned on a nice quiet day.
jw1776 invited me over to watch Casino Royale (2006) and I couldn't resist watching Daniel Craig work his magic again. (Trivia Note: DC and Eva Green were both in Casino Royale and The Golden Compass (2007).) After the movie I went home and spent a nice evening with
hollyqueen.
Tuesday, Christmas Day! I was enjoying sleeping in when someone decided that it was time to get up and open presents. How did she let me know it was time to get up? By crawling under the sheets and biting me on the bottom. Oy! My favorite present was a new bear with a snowflake on his nose and on his foot. I've named him Shney which I believe is the Yiddish word for snow. (At least that's what Google tells me.) In the evening we went out to dinner at Ming's in Bellevue with poetry_lady,
dianthus and some new people. I handed out my contact card. I hope to hear from them again.
I read about people being stressed about traveling and visiting family and I'm so glad I decided to get off that train and enjoy the holidays. I enjoyed talking with my family on Christmas and had even more fun relaxing with my friends.
