I’ve started using a headset when driving and I like not having to give up one of my hands to hold the phone. The problem is it’s one with ear buds and small cables that get all twisted and tangled. I’ve decided to join the Borg and get a Bluetooth headset.

I have a T-Mobile SDA. Does anyone have any headsets they would recommend? Any they would avoid?

The major problem with the ear buds are that I have never found any that don’t begin to hurt my ears after a few minutes. So I would like one that sits on my ear instead of going inside of it.

Are there any particular features I should have? Any “features” to avoid?

Thanks!

I used the Jabra bluetooth headset a couple years ago. The earbud design is fantastic--it doesn't hurt at all--but the headset itself tended to fall apart after a little while. With luck, they're using stronger plastic now.

I've been less pleased with the nokia headset that I just got than I expected to be. It just doesn't fit my head the way I'd hoped. If you wanna take a look at it and see if you want it...

Sure that would be cool. I think [livejournal.com profile] hollyqueen could grab it with our tax papers when she's over tomorrow.

You should avoid ear pieces that turn you into this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberman).
