So now that I have socks covered it’s time to move up to the next area of clothing. The base layer. Finding underwear to fit isn’t a problem as I can wear the standard XL size. Shirts, however are a different story. Does anyone have a suggestion of what to wear and where I might find 3XL undershirts? (I’m looking at you [livejournal.com profile] ragnorokt as you are a big guy like me.)

I just found out about the Mountains to Sound Relay which sounds like a fun event. I would be willing to participate in the canoe/kayak leg if someone was looking for team members. Although I would be participating to participate, not to win. I am built for pleasure not speed.

Looking at the route I wish the construction in Redmond hadn’t closed the kayak outfitter that was down the street from our apartment. I never did go rent a kayak and paddle around when it was there.

big & tall base layer != cotton boxers

Sigh. I saw [livejournal.com profile] loree's post about that great dress so I started looking around for something for me to wear to [livejournal.com profile] tithonium's birthday. A friend pointed me to Drac-in-a-Box and The Dark Angel. Two sites that have a lot of things I want but aren't in my size.

Does anyone know of a place a big guy could get clothes that don't look like my Mom bought them or I'm 95 and headed for the golf course?

Or if you know someone who makes clothes like this and wouldn't mind making a few bucks I can pay.

Last night [livejournal.com profile] hollyqueen and I stopped by Fred Meyer and we looked for a few shirts for me. I’m still surprised that FM has a good selection of clothes in my size. They also don’t have just the plaid grandpa clothes that other big & tall stores carry. Not only did we find a few shirts for me that were on sale but I had to go down a size because of the weight I’ve lost. YAH!!!

Later we watched this weeks episode of Heroes. No spoilers here but damn that was a good episode. I love the back story and how it’s all starting to come together. Next week we get to find out who plays Linderman. [livejournal.com profile] hollyqueen guessed that it was Donald Sutherland and I’m inclined to agree. We’ll all find out next week.
